It is an important responsibility in owning a dog to ensure you have covered at least the basics of training such as sit and recall.
Classes with Happy Dogs have limited number of dogs so you are a full part of each lesson
Each course normally lasts 6 weeks and you will be presented with a certificate on completion.
Homework comes as standard but don't panic as Martin and Suzanne will show you
how it fits into your normal day, also we hope to have full details on here soon
so you can check on this site and see the types of things you should be practising
between classes.
Beginners
These classes are suitable for everyone from a first time dog owner to those who simply have a new dog in the family.
For many dogs this will be an important socialisation for them. Everyone who
plays a part in the life of the dog is welcome including older children
You and your dog will learn the basics such as sit, down, stay, heel and recall all at a speed to suit you.
Martin and Suzanne will also be happy to discuss any problems you may have such as barking, biting and house training.
All new dogs and their owners are asked to attend beginner classes first as they cover important areas such as safety, equipment and Happy Dogs' rules
Intermediate
Moving on from the Beginner Course this is simply taking things further
Working at your own speed you will develop your current skills. Weather permitting work may take place outside.
Once again you can also work on anything that concerns you including aggression to other dogs or fears.
Advanced
You know those dogs who return to their owners instantly, give back the toys and walk to heel perfectly?
Well....
No... this course will not give you a dog like this but the potential is there through your own hard work and commitment. Scent work and distance control are just some of the talents you can discover
